Prenatal massage is a specialized therapy designed to support the physical and emotional well-being of pregnant individuals by relieving common discomforts such as back pain, joint tension, and swelling. Research shows that it can reduce stress hormones, improve sleep, enhance circulation, and promote overall relaxation (Field, 2010). Regular sessions may also contribute to shorter labor durations and fewer delivery complications (Field et al., 2009). When performed by a trained therapist familiar with prenatal care, massage is a safe and effective way to support a healthier, more comfortable pregnancy (Field et al., 2004).
