Our Mission
Our mission is to create the premier private, non-profit, educational institute for emerging healthcare professions in Alberta.
Including the finest:
- Doctor of Acupuncture Degree Program,;
- upgrading Massage Therapy education to medical standards; and
- life saving First Aid/CPR with the Canadian Red Cross –
in Alberta.
By establishing these fine programs, we ensure that Albertans and Alberta Healthcare Professionals are active contributors in:
- reducing chronic illness;
- eliminating unnecessary, dangerous, and expensive procedures / drugs; and
- saving lives.

As a Co-Founder of Calgary's Specialist Clinic—Orthopaedic Massage and Acupuncture—Dr. Gustafson advances the practices of Orthopaedic Assessment, Medical Massage Therapy, Acupuncture/Injection Treatments, and Musculoskeletal Pain Management (including therapeutic exercise, and nutrition).
His approach emphasizes patient independence, relationship-building, and long-term health planning in primary care.

Before fulfilling his dream of establishing a successful a healthcare practice, Dr. Kam Sum Yue had a flourishing academic and entrepreneurial career in international business and marketing, helping multinational corporations integrate into Asian markets.
Driven by a passion for private and public healthcare, he chose to establish his practice and his family in Alberta. This decision carried deep personal significance, as it is where his father originally immigrated from Hong Kong to attend the University of Alberta and seek out new investment opportunities across North America.
Today, Dr. Yue seamlessly blends Eastern and Western healthcare philosophies. Drawing on Eastern traditions—rooted in thousands of years of self-care and dedication to family—he empowers patients to care for themselves and their loved ones.
Outside of his clinical and academic work, he contributes to life-saving community efforts through the Canadian Red Cross.
