Our Mission
Our mission is to create the premier private, non-profit, educational institute for emerging health professions in Alberta.
Including the finest:
- Doctor of Acupuncture Degree Program,
- upgrading Massage Therapy education to medical standards, and
- life saving First Aid/CPR with the Canadian Red Cross
in Alberta.
By establishing these fine programs, we ensure that Albertans and Alberta healthcare professionals are active contributors in:
- reducing chronic illness,
- eliminating unnecessary, dangerous, and expensive procedures and drugs, and
- saving Albertans lives.

As a Co-Founder of Calgary's Specialist Clinic—Orthopaedic Massage and Acupuncture—Dr. Gustafson advances the practice of integrating Medical Orthopaedic Assessment, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture/Injection Treatments, and Musculoskeletal Pain Management (including Therapeutic Exercises).
His approach emphasizes patient independence, strong relationship-building, and long-term health planning, ensuring self-care and family-focused care by integrating psychosocial principles into primary health care.

He then decided he was ready to pursue his passion work in private and pub
Before pursuing his dream of building a healthcare practice, Dr. Kam Sum Yue established a successful academic and entrepreneurial background in international business, practices, and marketing—assisting multinational corporations in integrating into Asian markets.
He then decided he was ready to pursue his passion work in private and public health care in Alberta, choosing to establish his family in the province where his father had originally immigrated from Hong Kong, to pursue higher education and greater investment opportunities with the University of Alberta.
Blending Eastern and Western healthcare experience—where Eastern traditions bring thousands of years of history in self-care and profound dedication to family care—Dr. Yue now empowers people to care for themselves and others, while also contributing to life-saving efforts through the Canadian Red Cross.
